BAD HABITS BREAK-AWAY!

For our 34th Annual Junior Awards and Achievement Ceremony, our celebration will also include special board breaking activities for ALL junior students. Breaking skills promote our powers of concentration, coordination and determination, as well as healthy self-confidence through physical and mental self-control.

This event offers a perfect opportunity for everyone to focus on "breaking away" from bad habits that interfere with both academic and personal growth and accomplishment. Therefore, we invite ALL JUNIOR STUDENTS to choose one, two, or three bad habits that he or she would like to break (such as delaying homework, talking in class, leaving clothes on the floor, biting finger nails, etc.) Students will have fun "breaking away" from these habits on May 23rd with a happy and exciting board break and lots of cheering.

We are sending home a specially chosen board with each junior student. Parents and youngsters can talk together to choose the bad habits that need to be broken and then write up to three of these on the board. Students should bring the board to the either the 4:00 OR 5:30 p.m. session of the Awards and Achievement Ceremony on May 23rd. Parents are invited to attend and will have the opportunity to hold the board for each of their youngsters and enjoy congratulating them with pride and smiles as they set out on their way to better habits and achievement. Every student will be able to take home the pieces of this special board to display as a souvenir reminder to do things the new way!

Please refer to the previously distributed information and sign-up form. We look forward to seeing all junior students and families on May 23rd!
